Curriculum highlights

Our school is committed to providing high-quality holistic education, aligning with and integrating the national education policy's emphasis on the five aspects of education: moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and practical. We also focus on the balanced development of students' social and spiritual well-being, enabling them to grow healthily in character, knowledge, physical and mental well-being, and spirituality. In the 2025-2026 academic year, through diverse and in-depth learning experiences, we guide students to actively learn and boldly explore the world, cultivating their national identity and patriotism, fostering a sense of national identity and an international perspective, and inspiring the unique potential of each student.

School-Based Curriculum Development

Based on our educational philosophy, new curriculum trends, and the characteristics of each subject, our school has optimized and promoted several school-based curricula, including: Teaching Chinese in Putonghua (Primary 1-3), the Primary 1-3 SPACE TOWN project, values and life education courses, Design Learning (DBL) courses, thematic STEAM inquiry courses, interdisciplinary learning, and interdisciplinary reading. Through a systematic curriculum and comprehensive learning activities, the school helps students build knowledge, develop common skills, and cultivate core values such as perseverance, responsibility, respect for others, empathy, and teamwork.

The school also systematically promotes patriotism and national security education. Through Chinese language classes, general knowledge programs, popular reading, themed weekly assemblies, and national commemorative day activities, students learn about the importance of national history and culture, the Constitution, the Basic Law, and national security, and practice law-abiding awareness and civic responsibility in daily life.

Emphasis on the learning process—Learning by doing

All subjects emphasize "learning by doing," promoting deep learning through diverse and inquiry-based activities, such as interdisciplinary learning weeks, STEAM Day, experimental activities, and school-based "Design Thinking Curriculum" and "Thematic STEAM Inquiry Curriculum." Students apply knowledge in real-world contexts, think about and analyze problems from multiple perspectives, cultivate insight, creativity, and problem-solving skills, and become open-minded learners.

Meanwhile, through programs such as life education, service learning, uniformed teams, and leadership training, we guide students to appreciate themselves and others, care about community and national development, have hope for the future, and cultivate a growth mindset and a positive outlook on life.

Committed to Fostering Student-Centered Learning

Our school has continuously developed e-learning for many years, and in the 2025-2026 academic year, we will further deepen its application in all subjects. Teachers will widely utilize platforms such as Google Classroom, Google Forms, Nearpod, Kahoot, Classkick, and Padlet to broaden the sources of learning materials, cater to learning differences, and enhance classroom interaction and learning motivation.

The school also cultivates students' habits of spontaneous reading and independent thinking through reading reward programs and diverse reading activities, such as themed reading weeks, parent-child reading, and cross-curricular reading assignments, in conjunction with readings on Chinese culture and national conditions. This allows them to broaden their horizons and enhance their understanding of the nation and the world through enjoyable reading.

Cultivating Learners with Multi-faceted Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills

Our school organically integrates STEAM and interdisciplinary elements into all subjects, strengthening students' ability to synthesize and apply knowledge and skills. Our school-based "Thematic STEAM Inquiry Curriculum" combines mathematics, general knowledge, computer science, and other disciplines, connecting them to key learning points. Our "Design Thinking Curriculum" incorporates themes such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), key areas of national security education, and intangible cultural heritage, fostering students' concern for society and the nation and building positive values through solving real-world problems.

To enhance students' interest in STEAM, the school offers diverse extension activities, including STEAM Day, robotics classes, Micro:bit programming classes, and STEAM classes, allowing students to discover and develop their potential through diverse hands-on experiences.

Developing a "Future Campus"—Equipping Students for the Future

Our school continuously promotes the development of a "Future Campus," creating more opportunities for students to utilize learning technologies and equip themselves for a smart society. The school actively develops AI-powered teaching, utilizing adaptive exercises, learning data analysis, and generative AI tools in the classroom to support individualized learning, formative assessment, and instructional design, thereby enhancing teaching and learning effectiveness.

Coding classes are offered from grades 1 to 6. Upper primary students participate in the Jockey Club's "CoolThink@JC Program," systematically cultivating students' computational thinking and innovative spirit, laying a solid foundation for future learning and careers.

Primary 1 Transition Program

To help new students smoothly adapt to primary school life, the school organizes a "Primary 1 Campus Tour" and a "Caring for Older Students Program" at the beginning of the school year. This allows Primary 1 students to familiarize themselves with the school environment and key staff, building a sense of security and belonging. Last semester, gradual adjustments were made to dictation, tests, and homework assignments to reduce stress.

In addition, the school implements diverse adaptation activities, such as the "Easy Primary 1 Transition Program" and "Primary 1 New Student Orientation Day," to help students transition happily from kindergarten to primary school.

Career Planning Education

Our school offers a vertically integrated, school-based career planning curriculum, systematically promoting it from four aspects: "Self-Awareness and Development," "Further Education/Career Exploration," "Further Education Planning and Management," and "Home-School Collaboration." The school also integrates career planning elements into various learning areas, complementing diverse activities such as personality and interest exploration, financial education, secondary school visits, mock secondary school interview training and interview classes, secondary school lectures, and bridging courses. These initiatives help students understand their personality and abilities from a young age, learn to set goals, and prepare for secondary school and long-term development.

Gifted Education and Learning Support

Our school believes that "everyone has potential, and we strive to develop every child." We aim to inspire and discover each student's strengths and gifts through diverse learning experiences. The school has established various school teams and interest training programs, encouraging students to participate in various competitions and performances, building confidence on stage.

In terms of learning support, our school has always implemented small class teaching to improve classroom interaction and cater to learning differences. We also offer advanced classes, value-added classes, Mandarin support classes, English phonics classes, and Cantonese classes to respond to students' needs in different learning areas, so that students with different learning abilities can grow and make breakthroughs.
