Humanities Learning Week: Stepping Out of the Classroom to Explore Hong Kong

Our school will hold a "Humanities Learning Week" from February 23rd to 25th, 2025. In line with the primary school humanities curriculum's emphasis on "learning from life" and "understanding Hong Kong, the nation, and the world," a three-day workshop has been arranged for students from Grades 1 to 6.

The activities are designed in three phases: On the first day, students from each grade will leave the classroom for field trips to different locations; in the afternoon, they will organize their findings and conduct workshops. On the second day, students will engage in in-depth discussions in small groups, dividing tasks to collect information and design learning reports. On the third day, based on the public speaking lessons learned in the previous semester, students will focus on eloquence training and stage etiquette rehearsals in preparation for their presentations in the afternoon, comprehensively enhancing their expression and teamwork skills.

Graded Visits: From Community to Nation

The visits during this Humanities Learning Week were carefully arranged according to students' grade levels and learning focuses, allowing students to start from their local communities and gradually connect to national history and defense security:

First-grade students visited Kowloon Park, starting by learning about the park's flora and fauna and public facilities, cultivating their observation skills and attitude towards environmental protection.
