Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom: From Community to the World
The school's Science and Humanities departments arranged two field trips this academic year. The first trip, from December 3rd to 5th, 2025, included various themed visits for students from grades 1 to 6, allowing them to broaden their horizons across different learning areas and connect textbook knowledge with the real world.
Primary 4 students visited the Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant to learn about Hong Kong's freshwater supply and desalination technology, reflecting on the importance of cherishing drinking water and sustainable development.
Through these tiered field trips, students learned about natural science, environmental protection, and sustainable development in real-world contexts. Guided by teachers, they prepared before class, observed on-site, and reflected upon their observations at school, gradually cultivating an attitude of caring for society, cherishing resources, and protecting the Earth, practicing the spirit of "learning from life." Primary 1 students visited the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, learning about biodiversity and cherishing life through close observation of plants and animals, establishing an attitude of treasuring nature from a young age.
