Save water and reduce waste in daily life to support national resource security. In order to raise students’ awareness of marine debris and understand the impact of microplastics on marine life, we participated in the “Plastic Pickup Campaign” organized by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. We conducted interactive experiences and game-based learning in Ocean Park to help students understand the problem and harm of marine plastics in Hong Kong. We also visited Hong Kong’s first zero-carbon emission ship that uses solar energy to collect marine debris, and observed the process of collecting plastic and sorting trash. The students were all very excited.
